Gustavo Bittencourt appreciates the intrinsic value of raw materials, which are manufactured in his atelier, valuing their diversity, attributes, textures and details. Everything is done with extreme care and dedication, with the aim of creating unique and timeless designs.
In addition, the designer seeks to promote a meaningful relationship between pieces and users, designing the very interactions that will imbue his furniture with the intangible value that makes it irreplaceable.
Bittencourt worked at the Thomas Hayes Gallery in Los Angeles and studied at the Politecnico di Torino in Italy. Finally, in 2013, he merged his practice with a traditional timber company in Petrópolis-RJ, thus creating Atelier Gustavo Bittencourt, where he develops his projects.
