Inês Schertel's raw material is sheep's wool. A practitioner of what she calls "Slow Design", the artist approaches textile design with a holistic vision, personally taking care of the entire process from shearing the sheep to manufacturing each piece, all done locally on her family's farm in southern Brazil.
Out of respect for the traditional Central Asian rug making, Inês works the wool by hand using the same felting technique as the nomadic tribes, revitalizing this ancient technique with a new and contemporary look. All her pieces are 100% natural and exclusive.
