Commissioned specially for the Design Miami 2019 fair. The Drop is the first piece that will be part of the “Momentum series”, in which we intend to preserve and materialize the instant from the “Action of the Act”, through its eloquent form capable of translating the moment of zero time, thus defying gravity and transforming it in visual memory. Water in its normal physical state has no shape or color, but has constant movement capable of filling the Void. Without disregarding its fullness, the apparent emptiness seeks to fill the unconditional emotion of life. After all, we were wrapped in water in the womb. Marble has been used by man since the Neolithic period, characterized as The Polished Stone Age, which lasted from 12,000 BC to 4,000 BC. The stone representing the Drop symbolizes the solidified moment of memory.
