The Flama chair is a one-of-a-kind piece designed in 1989, part of the Campana brothers very first exhibit called Desconfortáveis (Uncomfortables), in São Paulo - Brazil. This piece is iconic because it marked a rupture in the idea of function design and kickstarted the concept of design-art in Brazil. The chair is completely done in iron and features very hard edges and spiked lines, besides clearly missing the main attributes people would expect from a chair, such as comfort and warmth. It has a sculptural quality and rough finishing.
