Data We Collect

We collect personal data only when you voluntarily provide it through the following channels:

• Inquiry form — name, email address, phone number, country, and message content
• Shipping quote request — email address, destination (city and country), and optionally name, preferred shipping method, insurance preference, and message
• Contact form — name, email address, phone number, and message content
• Newsletter subscription (footer form or popup) — email address

No data is collected passively beyond what you actively submit. Our analytics platform (Umami) operates without cookies and does not collect or store personal data.

How We Use Your Data

• Inquiry and shipping quote responses — to reply to your commercial inquiry or prepare a shipping estimate and, if opted in, to add you to our mailing list
• Contact form — to respond to your message
• Newsletter — to send updates about new acquisitions, exhibitions, auctions, and events at Mercado Moderno

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

Legal Basis

Processing is based on your consent (Art. 7, I, LGPD). For inquiry responses, processing may also rely on legitimate interest in conducting commercial activity (Art. 7, IX, LGPD). You may revoke consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before revocation.

Data Processors

We use the following sub-processors to operate our services:

• MailerLite (UAB MailerLite, Vilnius, Lithuania) — email marketing platform used to manage our subscriber list and send newsletters. Your email address is transmitted to MailerLite when you subscribe. MailerLite's privacy policy: mailerlite.com/legal/privacy-policy
• HostGator — web hosting. Inquiry submissions are processed on our server before delivery by email.

Cookies and Analytics

This website does not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or any form of third-party behavioral profiling. Analytics are provided by Umami, a cookieless, privacy-first platform that does not collect personally identifiable information.

The only cookies set by this site are functional cookies used to remember whether you have seen our newsletter popup (stored locally in your browser for 7 days).

Data Retention

• Inquiry records — retained for as long as necessary to fulfill the commercial relationship and comply with applicable legal obligations
• Newsletter subscribers — retained until you unsubscribe or request deletion
