Rodrigo Simão sees his work as a designer as a natural expansion of his work as an architect. Graduated from FAU/UFRJ in architecture and urbanism in 2000, his first pieces are the result of a creative solution to reuse noble waste from his architectural projects, seeking a zero-waste production chain, inspired by the "cradle to cradle" concept. Through the combination of industrial technology and artisanal tradition, fluid integration with local nature, responsible choice of materials and production and their social use, Simão's pieces consistently reflect the designer's goal of humanizing architecture.
