Designed by Rodrigo Simão, the Feijão pays tribute to the awarded designer’s country of origin not only in its name, which means “bean” – a staple of the Brazilian menu. Simão’s take on the traditional rocking chair responsibly showcases Brazil’s flora diversity with the use of three naturally colorful kinds of reclaimed hardwood: Pink Peroba, Canela and Imbuia. Made with the combination of Industrial and artisanal techniques, the Feijão features one seamless surface with no visible joints, emphasizing the graphic pattern of stripes composed by the contrasting woods.
This piece is the 1/8 of a special limited edition of the Feijão chair, in which imbuia wood is featured more predominantly making it a darker color.
