Considered the most notorious work by Jean Gillon, the "Jangada" armchair was designed with the foreign market specifically in mind and can be dismantled for easy transportation. To its distinctive trapezoidal structure, built in Jacarandá wood, the designer attached a nylon weave similar to a fishing net, which supports big leather cushions. Consistent with the chair´s concept and name, which refers to the kind of raft used by Northeastern Brazil´s fisherman, the net comfortably enraptures the body of the person sitting on it, inspiring a relaxed posture.
